“In September of 2003, a Summit County (Ohio) jury granted a nearly $213 million award against a former Fairlawn company, Telxon Corporation. It blasted the previous county record by a factor of nearly 30 and was the sixth largest jury award in the country that year.” –Richard Weiner, Akron Legal News

Founding, and Managing Member of The Melick Law Firm, LLC
Prior to starting the firm, Greg has been litigating a variety of tort and business cases across New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Ohio since 1989. Prior to moving to the representation of plaintiffs in complex litigation exclusively, Greg brings to the table a number of years of experience as a defense lawyer, having worked for several prestigious litigation firms on behalf of national insurance companies, and Fortune 500 companies, before “changing sides”. He now uses the tactics developed by his former defense “mentality” on behalf of the firm’s clients, and believes that his balanced experience levels the playing field for small businesses/clients against larger institutions/defendants.
Over the past five years, Greg has specialized in the practice of representing plaintiffs in complex tort and complex commercial litigation in State and Federal Courts including business torts, contracts, employment matters, civil rights and discrimination/harassment cases, and intellectual property cases at both the trial and appellate levels. He also has seventeen-plus years of first-chair litigation experience defending general casualty, product liability, professional liability (medical, nursing and dental), and insurance coverage claims.
Corporate clients represented have included USX/U.S. Steel Corporation, Medical Mutual of Ohio, Ameritech, The CNA Insurance Companies, The Hartford Insurance Company, Revco/CVS, Lucas Aerospace, and Smart Media of Delaware, Inc.
Greg graduated from the University of Dayton, cum laude, in 1986. He received his juris doctor from the Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law in 1989.
Greg is currently licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. When not representing the rights of his clients, Greg is a loving husband and father of four.
